Help for strata managers

Getting started.

From a new account to a building that can bill charging, in four steps.

Setting up

  1. 1

    Create your organisation

Sign up to the strata console. Your organisation holds the buildings you manage and the colleagues you invite into it.

  2. 2

    Add a building

Enter the building’s name, address and the bank details charging revenue should settle to. That creates the building’s own merchant account.

  3. 3

Set the rate and the boundary

Choose a rate per kilowatt-hour and draw the area where charging is billable. Both can be changed later.

  4. 4

    Issue an invite code

Generate a code, download the poster, and put it where residents will see it. They do the rest themselves.

Common setup questions

What bank details should I use?
The owners corporation’s account for that building. Charging revenue for a building settles to the account attached to it, so use the account the building actually banks with.
Can I invite colleagues?
Yes. Invite them into your organisation from the console and they will see the same buildings you do.
How long does verification take?
Merchant verification is handled by our payment provider and is usually quick, but it can require additional detail about the owners corporation. The building shows its verification status in the console until it is ready to take payments.
Can I trial it on one building first?
That is the sensible way to do it. Set up a single building, run it for a month, and use the reporting to make the case to the rest of your portfolio.
