Cards, failures and refunds

Where do my card details go?
Straight from your phone to Pinch Payments, our payment provider. Volty stores only the card type, the last four digits and the expiry so you can tell your cards apart.
What happens if my payment fails?
The session shows as unpaid in the app and you can retry it, either against the same card or a different one. Nothing is charged twice — retries are matched to the original session.
Can I use more than one card?
Yes. You can save several, pick a default, and choose a different one when you retry a failed session.
I think I was charged for a session that was not mine.
Open the session in the app to see the start and end time, the car and the energy delivered. If it still looks wrong, contact us and we can trace it against the vehicle’s own reported data.
Can I get a receipt for my accountant?
Yes, from any paid session in the app. Where the owners corporation is registered for GST, the receipt is issued as a tax invoice.

Pinch Payments

Your card details never touch Volty. They go straight from your phone to Pinch Payments, the Australian payments platform that processes charging payments and pays your building.
